Auditions will be located at the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce (5632 N. Main St, Sylvania Ohio 43560) and a map can be found below. Park in the lots behind the Chandlers (almost directly across from the Rite-Aide on the corner of Monroe and Summit street) and use the back entrance (look for the black awning). They will be held from (5:00-8:00)pm. The cast is weighted more towards 40-60 year olds, but all actors are welcome to audition anyway!

Interest has been amazing and slightly overwhelming! We are currently going through all of the e-mails sent in, and are processing them as quickly as possible, but it is going to take some time to process everybody.
Please understand that your contact is important to us, so if you do not hear back immediately, it does not mean that you are being ignored. That being said, your contact will be addressed in the order in which it was received.

About The Society Casting Call
Greetings,
Great production requires a great Cast of Characters, with a strong commitment to the Project, and that is what we are looking for. There will be several Audition Dates set up, in case the first date does not work for some of you. This process will take some time, and that is why we are starting early, but the finished product should make it all worth while.
Mantis and Moon specializes in working with local talent from the Midwest, with various levels of acting experience, so don’t be afraid to come out and take your shot! We try to include everyone who shows an interest in this production to the extent which that is possible.
We will also be looking for Crew Members with some experience to help in putting this production together. It is prudent to mention that these positions (Cast and Crew) are mostly non-paid positions. However this is your chance to be a part of a potentially award-winning movie production, as Mantis and Moon has never released a film that was not internationally awarded, or nationally distributed. The film will be directed by Carleton "Cap" Averill and director of photography Zachary Gordon.
Our first full length Feature film (Out of the Shadows) won the award for “Best Drama Feature” at the 2005 Hollywood International HD Film Festival, and was placed on the Internet Movie Data Base, here.
The “Thunder Series” are our nature documentaries which play nationally on PBS which can be found here and here.
In an effort to always remain on the "cutting edge" of high definition cinematography, Mantis and Moon has recently moved from shooting in DVCPRO HD to Red Cam. Some examples of movies shot with a Red camera include 'The Social Network', 'District 9' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'. We are excited by this and are hopeful that it will take us to the next level in movie-making.
